Moving Mountains

Building an airstrip in a remote location, often with two or three different tribes working together for the first time, is always challenging, and in many cases takes 10 years or more!  In the case of this TOMOSIGA airstrip, it has taken over THIRTY years, and believe it or not, we are still working on it as planes are finally landing on it. There were no guarantees any pilot would be crazy enough to land on this less than ideal airstrip, and yet the people worked with the HOPE that someday their efforts would pay off!  How many of us would take on such an undertaking with ZERO guarantees??!!  Very humbling to work with people so dedicated and tenacious… I have much to learn!
